  1. Rules and Regulations. 1. Challenge scope: The Canadian Geographic Challenge (“Can Geo Challenge” or "Challenge") is a national bilingual competition for Canadian students in grades 4-6 for Level 1, grades 7-10 for Level 2, and students ages 16-19 who have not yet started their post-secondary studies for Level 3.

  2. All photographs entered in the Competition must be Canadian content (i.e. taken in Canada and relating to Canada). Photographic entries must be original material and must not have been a winner in any other national Competition.

  3. The Can Geo Challenge aims to recognize the top geography students across Canada. The program begins by competeing agaist your peers in the classroom and school round. Next, all school winners have the opportunity to compete against top students in their own province/territory.

  4. The National Final comprises three parts: a written test, a fieldwork exercise and a final round. The written and fieldwork tests will be administered online for finalists to complete independently during the official testing period as determined by the Challenge administrators.

  5. Submit your best shots of Canadian wildlife, landscapes, weather, skies and outdoor adventures for a chance to win cash prizes!

  6. The Challenge comprises three levels to reach a wide age range. Levels 1 and 2 are available to students in Grades 4-6 and 7-10, respectively.
