Form IMM 5257, Application for Visitor Visa (Temporary Resident Visa), is a document that allows individuals to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV). A TRV allows its owner to visit Canada for temporary purposes such as business trips, visiting family, or tourism.
These documents should be available for presentation at the Canadian Port of Entry. If you have answered “yes” to any of the background information questions on the application form, provide a completed and signed Schedule 1 form (Application for Temporary Resident Visa – IMM 5257B) and include it with your application.
