Only drivers need to submit an application form and fee. There is no FAST application form for carriers or importers. Canadian carriers and importers are automatically approved for FAST once they become approved members of the Customs Self Assessment (CSA) and Partner in Protection (PIP) programs.
To use FAST lanes into Canada, carriers and importers must be authorized under the PIP program or both the CSA and PIP program. The driver must have a valid FAST card or Commercial Driver Registration Program (CDRP) card.
