On and after July 1, 1988, no person may be employed or operate as an armed security guard until a license therefor has been issued by the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training pursuant to the Oklahoma Security Guard and Private Investigator Act.

9 gru 2019 · While police officers have powers of arrest on probable cause, a security guard must have witnessed an actual crime for an arrest to be legal. Specifically, they must have witnessed a felony. And it’s important to note that “arrest” in essence, simply means detaining the suspect.
