As far as I am aware, the Comminwealth only permits armed guards to carry batons, Tasers, and firarms with additional certifications. (Side arm, shotgun, and patrol rifle are all seperste certifications).
Arming a guard with a TASER device means your employees have the tools to stop a threat, but aren’t at risk of doing so lethally. And everyone is safer for it. Safer options for your employees is a good business decision, too.

OC, baton, and taser are all considered unarmed. HOWEVER you will need to be certified to carry and use them. This is for liability reasons because if you use them you might get sued and if not certified you'll lose. Also CA is very strict about what you can carry. You need your guard card and a baton card to buy and carry a baton.
