There are two different trails to reach the 2,680ft summit, offering different challenges. Begin along the Echo Canyon Trail, which ascends 1,400 feet up the mountain's western side in just over a mile.
Located in the Camelback Mountain Echo Canyon Recreation Area, this area preserves a lot of native species that are unique to the Phoenix area and surrounding desert environment. The summit can be reached via two hiking trails: Echo Canyon Trail and Cholla Trail.
6 maj 2024 · While Camelback Mountain is one of the more difficult hikes in the Scottsdale area, it’s worth hiking for its steep but short trail, 360° views, & hands on, adventure-y feel (there’s some bouldering towards the top).
