Recreation – The City of Camden. The Bureau of Recreation administers and operates a year round comprehensive mix of leisure time activities for residents of all ages, specifically youth. Program activities fall into three categories; Evening Recreation, Summer Recreation and Special Events.
The Camden County Park System’s 21 parks and conservation areas offer over 2,000 acres of natural settings for picnics, family gatherings, sporting events, beautiful waterways for fishing and boating, a wealth of playgrounds and a variety of ball fields that are close to home.

The City of Camden parks are open daily (from dawn until dusk) for the public to enjoy. The City of Camden is blessed with an outstanding and vast park system. Each of these exceptional open spaces are unique, providing residents with beauty, and quality recreational opportunities.
Districts. NJRPA is divided into seven regional districts. Each district is represented by an elected District Chair who serves as a member of the Board of Trustees. Each professional member belongs to one District, usually the district in their work location.
We are proud to present Parks Alive 2025, the official parks revitalization and development plan for Camden County. The purpose of this initiative is to breathe new life into our beloved parks, and improve the quality of life for over 500,000 Camden County residents.
