Fees are due within 45 days of the date on your notice, or a late penalty is assessed on the 46th day. Future annual fees will be billed for the following full year’s fees in December and due February 1 of each year. Payment notices are sent by email only, so please calendar these dates.

Under California Business & Professions Code section 6031.5, the State Bar collects the voluntary dues paid by attorneys who choose to join the CLA and remits those dues to the CLA. The CLA reimburses the State Bar for the administrative cost of collecting and remitting voluntary CLA dues.
