SNO-Park Pass. California State Parks’ Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division operates 18 SNO-PARK sites that provide snow-cleared parking lots with sanitation facilities and access to snow play areas, cross-country ski and snowmobile trails.
A SNO-Park permit is required for each vehicle parked at a SNO-Park site from November 1 through May 30 of each year. Permits come in two types: Day Permits. $15.00 and valid for a single day. Season permits. $40.00 and cover the full SNO-Park season.
If you wish to visit one of California's 18 SNO-PARKs, a permit is required. Permits are $15 per day or $40 for a season pass which lasts from November 1 through May 30. Permits can be purchased from vendors throughout northern California or through the OHMVR Division Headquarters.
California's 18 SNO-PARKs, cleared parking areas for vehicles, provide opportunities for non-motorized winter activities, including cross-country skiing, dog sledding, and snow play. A handful of SNO-Parks offer access to both motorized and non-motorized activities.
