The California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) has an intradepartmental contract with the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) to provide license verification on the DCA License Search website and the actual operation thereof.
You can also use our free online licensee search to verify someone is licensed in Michigan. It is a simple way to verify a licensee, issue date, and expiration date of a license, as well as any disciplinary action.
Licensing: The BON issues licenses to graduates of approved nursing education programs seeking licensure by exam and to nurses licensed in other states seeking Texas licensure by endorsement. All nurses are required to renew their licenses on a biennial basis with evidence of required continuing nursing education.
ALERT On March 10, 2022, license verification requests previously completed by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) will be completed by Nursys®. Nursys® provides online verification for endorsement to a nurse requesting to practice in another state and anyone who wants to verify a nurse license.
Nurses can verify their licenses by completing the Nursys verification process for $30 per license type, per each board of nursing where the nurse is applying. The nurse’s license verification is available immediately to the endorsing board of nursing. Nursys Services Exclusively for NCSBN Members. NCSBN members utilize Nursys via nursys.org to:
