History education in Singapore seeks to develop in students an appreciation of past human experiences, critical awareness of the nature of historical knowledge, and the ability to make connections between the past and present.
Through Historical Investigation, students get to apply their knowledge and skills to develop a personal response and connection to Singapore’s national history. Students also work together to communicate and share their historical knowledge with their peers, building a shared understanding of Singapore’s development over time.
