10 cze 2011 · When I had a BDA-1 I thought it sounded better than my friend's BCD-1. An alternate choice would be the recently released BDA-2 dac from Bryston. More functions and most importantly they have moved from the Crystal dac chips to AKM 32 bit chips so that "should" change the sound somewhat and may get you closer to the presentation you are looking ...

While fairly entry-level, this CD player definitely surpassed my expectations. The music was clean and transparent, with focused and engaging dynamics. However, I was a bit confused when I realized it did not support SACD format.
The BCD-1 is just a no-nonsense CD player. If you like to look at your equipment more than you like to listen to it, don't buy the BCD-1. The remote is Bryston's classic CNC-honed aluminum block, which lights up nicely in the dark and does double duty as a doorstop or paperweight.

22 sty 2015 · Ultimately, Bryston could not match the quality of a CD-dedicated system. However, the quality of the CD playback is excellent. I respect Bryston for not sacrificing quality for features. Anyone out there using Bryston products they recommend?
Like Bryston's B100-DA integrated amplifier, the BCD-1 CD player connects me to those crucial elements of music: pace, rhythm, and emotion. It's so good that I no longer miss the KPS-28c, and that's a strong recommendation indeed.
