To protect you against the new threat of liquid explosives, the European Union (EU) has adopted security rules that restrict the amount of liquids that you can take through security checkpoints. They apply to all passengers departing from airports in the EU whatever their destination.
Under the current rules, you can carry as hand luggage, liquids in individual containers with a capacity not greater than 100 ml and contained in one transparent re-sealable plastic bag of a capacity not exceeding one liter.
New rules restrict passengers on carrying liquids, aerosols and gels (LAGs) past screening points, whether on their persons or in their hand luggage, with the following exemptions: liquids in individual containers with capacity no greater than 100 milliliters packed in one transparent one-liter re-sealable plastic bag;
Safety regulations for liquids. Only small amounts of liquid are permitted in hand baggage. These liquids must be transported in containers with a maximum capacity of 100 ml. Each passenger can bring a maximum of 1 litre.
Restrictions on liquids and prohibited items list. The European Union has adopted a regulation restricting the liquids that passengers can carry in their cabin baggage past security checkpoints and then onto aircraft.
Taking liquids, aerosols, and gels into the airport and on-board an aircraft is strictly subject to current EU Security Requirements. When passing through airport security screening, you will need to keep in mind: Each item of Liquid carried must be in a container of no more than 100ml (3.4 ounces);
