1 paź 2024 · Estimated number of breast cancer cases and deaths in 2024. In 2024, approximately 310,720 new cases of invasive breast cancer and 56,500 cases of DCIS will be diagnosed among US women, and 42,250 women will die from breast cancer.
Using statistical models for analysis, age-adjusted rates for new female breast cancer cases have been rising on average 1.0% each year over 2012–2021. Age-adjusted death rates have been falling on average 1.2% each year over 2013–2022. 5-year relative survival trends are shown below.
In the US in 2022, an estimated 287,850 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed among women and 43,250 women will die from the disease (Table 1). In addition, an estimated 51,400 cases of DCIS will be diagnosed among women.
