24 lip 2018 · On rough roads or when there is a lot of vibration, the quick release on my front brake will sometimes pop open. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? If it helps, the bike is a 1995 Trek 370, which has Shimano 250EX brakes and Shimano Exage 300EX levers (according to BikePedia).

14 lip 2021 · Brakes are adjusted for the quick release lever positioned on the left of the bike. When a front wheel is wrongly installed with the clamp on the right , the existing brake balance will be upset. Reinstall the wheel with the lever on the left.

Inspect the inner cable and outer housing regularly, and replace them once a year or when they’re frayed, worn, or rusty.
