19 mar 2016 · Directions from South Entrance Station: Drive northward on South Entrance Drive to the East Rim Drive/West Rim Drive junction. Bear left on to West Rim Drive and follow it 8 miles, through Grand Canyon Village, to Hermits Rest.
The Boucher Trail departs in a northerly direction continuing the long traverse on the rim of the esplanade. The route crosses numerous small, steep drainages complicated by rockslides from the Coconino cliff above. Finally, the spectacular camp below Yuma Point is reached.

Boucher Trail. Starting Point and Access The Boucher Trail begins near Grand Canyon Village, Arizona, a bustling hub for visitors to the Grand Canyon. To reach the trailhead, you can drive to the Grand Canyon Village and park in the designated areas.
Trail Details. Part-time hermit Louis Boucher first came to the canyon in 1891 and soon began guiding tourists and prospecting for mineral deposits. He built a camp at Dripping Springs and a cabin near his copper mine in Boucher Canyon where he planted an orchard of 75 fruit trees.
