A visit to the birth site, Lincoln Hill, is only available by appointment with a volunteer guide as the site is on private property. Bostic Lincoln Center is a non-profit all volunteer organization whose mission is to collect, document, research and preserve the generational lore of the area by providing audio-visual histories, exhibits, and programs regarding the various stories of the county.
The Bostc Lincoln Center is truly a gem. The museum is set in a charming old railroad depot, which is interesting enough itself. But the real appeal is in the story of how local history supports that Lincoln was indeed born in the Bostic area, and not in Kentucky, as traditionally believed.
