Built upon abundant literacy research and designed to make excellent instruction and differentiation easier, the Bookworms K–5 Reading & Writing curriculum lifts all students and teachers up with evidence-based practices and routines.
Bookworms is designed to expose students to a high volume of full-length, deeply engaging trade books to build knowledge and drive literacy instruction. Over the course of elementary school, students will study 265 full-length texts.
Oxford Bookworms have a worldwide reputation for providing learners with a great reading experience. They include a wide range of classic and modern fiction, non-fiction, and plays, in seven carefully graded language stages.

To utilize the Bookworms Reading & Writing curriculum effectively, it takes work. With that being said, planning, previewing, and prep is a must. All the components (i.e. assessments, copies, vocabulary cards, writing prompts, etc.) are not provided. This is both a blessing and a curse.
The updated and revised Bookworms K–5 Reading and Writing 1st edition (2022) is now available. Please ensure you’re accessing the edition corresponding to your printed materials. Bookworms teacher materials are showing tremendous results in student literacy achievement.
