So, I've been using the nasdaq bookviewer for a few days now, and although I don't think a few days is enough time to truly grasp its abilities, but in my experience it has been somewhat of a useless tool. The technicals on my chart seem to be far more reliable than the large block limit orders that are shown on it.

Not in the least. Yes, you can aggregate the orders, which is visually different, but it's the information. You're able to see 20x's more price data. You're looking at every single order in the order book from orders around the world. This is the beauty of the Level 3 Nasdaq Bookviewer.
