I’ve seen so many people show how messed up their bookish box orders and books were and how the company has constantly messed up and even lied. I was subscribed for a bit but after they messed up and refused to exchange my books, I decided to cancel them.
Bookish box is a SCAM. I have literally paid for two boxes so far they have sent nothing. I waited months on their wait list. They continue to take money out of my bank account and don’t actually ship things.
My boyfriend keeps bugging me and saying it’s a scam because I haven’t received any books and says I’m throwing his money away 😭😂. I subscribed to owlcrate in September and I’ve received my September YA and Adult box and my October boxes are on the way.
I ordered in May, saw that people had shipping issues and canceled the subscription. However, because they charged for that first month, they sent me my box…5 months later. The end result ended up being quite beautiful. I’m impressed by the book edition and the items that come with it.

The book box is a scam and I dont recommend them to anyone. I will be discontinuing my service and going to a different monthly box that actually sends out boxes.
