You don't really get to choose train stations. From Paris trains to Avignon leave from Gare du Lyon, or from the TGV station at CDG airport.
If you go to France, you can buy TGV tickets. One way of doing it is by going to the Rail Europe TGV site (http://www.raileurope.com). It is in ENGLISH. I tried to buy a ticket Bordeaux - Zurich one way for January 30th 2010.It quoted prices of $231 for 2nd class and $376 for 1st class.
1 sie 2022 · The renowned TGV. We travelled in the top floor of the double decker and had a very good view. The train was packed and fast. There are USB chargers but my iphone didn’t like them. Two hours from Paris to Lyon is impressive with comfortable seats and plenty of leg room.
