11 maj 2017 · Run the engine around 1500 RPM and unplug the IAC motor then disconnect the throttle cable and adjust the engine idle to around 700 RPM with the throttle butterfly. Then just plug the IAC motor back in and the computer should control engine idle.
4 cze 2024 · If an engine wouldn't run without squirting gas into the carb, it has a fuel problem. If it bogs and stops, it's likely rich and if it comes to life, it's likely lean but there's always an underlying reason for either.
25 sty 2008 · After I shoot over to my fishing spot and come down to idle, it surges to 3500 RPM and eventually slows down to 1200 and then eventually stalls. After fishing when I go to start the motor (warm motor) it will not idle at all! When I drop the warm-up lever, it very quickly drop the RPMS and stalls.
If your outboard stalls whenever you drop it into idle, the problem usually lies with the carburetor. It might be something as simple as the carburetor idling screw needing a small adjustment, so check that first and adjust it if needed. Check the Fuel Injection.
Yes, the first stall was underway. Wait time and run time varied, but deteriorated over several days underway. Now engine starts immediately, runs fine for a second or two at idle or mid throttle and then stalls every time. I pulled the fuel pickup tube and checked the connections for air leaks.
21 lis 2013 · The engine stalls in neutral, at idle, only. When your outboard starts right up, keeps running with throttle applied in neutral, but shuts down the moment you come back to idle speed in neutral, the issue is likely to be a sticky or broken AIS (automatic idle speed) valve.
