5 gru 2020 · Hello all. I’m trying to learn about boa constrictor genetics- I’m wondering, are they the same as ball pythons when it comes to genetics? For instance, I want to make visual moonglows- Can I take 2 hets, and create a hand full of visual MGs? Is there more or less to it? Thanks!
2 sie 2010 · there are actually several different t+ strains out there: VPI caramel. Boa Woman caramel (BWC) Prodigy (VERY new) Sharp (now thought to be t+ instead of t-) Russian. the only two that are compatable and produce something out of the ordinary together (that has been proven at this point) are BWC and sharp, which produce paradigms.
Onyx is an incomplete dominant mutation originating from Honduran mainland boas. The single gene form (Onyx) is a highly abberrant boa. The Superform (homozygous) is the Super Onyx - a solid black boa.
We´re getting asked a lot of genetic questions and where you can read about the basics of boa morph breeding. In our opinion it is mandatory to achieve this knowledge if you want to breed our loved Boa constrictor imperator to avoid unwanted results as health issues or an “overproduction” of mixed wildtype “poss het” boa imperator animals!
