Roof capacity is definitely dynamic, not static. The best crossbars I've seen are rated to 165lb, just enough to hold one of the larger tents. But static is much greater.
3 lip 2022 · Could a X3 be turned into a camper? One way would be to fold the rear seats and use a sleeping bag. Another way might be to build a platform to place a thin mattress on top of.

24 maj 2022 · I’m considering a roof top tent for an upcoming camping trip. The owners manual states the approved roof load capacity is 220lbs/100kg. Can i safely assume that is dynamic (under motion) load and not static (while stationary) load?
