If you go through websites like realoem.com and look at all the different components, there are plenty of accessories and retrofittings made regular E36's, like the M-Aerodynamic Package for instance.

3 sty 2010 · Speed limiter is the same as sport pack if you get the 18" wheel combo (which comes standard with M-sport, but are different wheels than regular sport pack). Different trim options and exterior colors with the M-sport pack as well.
At least in the states, the M Sport brakes only come with the Dynamic Handling package, which includes the adjustable dampers. The M Sport package is purely cosmetic. If you are a tame driver, you don't need the upgraded brakes or adjustable dampers.
