14 lis 2021 · I was able to activate CarPlay on my G20 with entrynav, even without wifi antenna installed (just empty wlan slot and its working). For vin, try to use car with wlanhotspot option, that worked for me.

I have installed a retrofit NBT EVO/ZBE/touchscreen (upgraded from a NBT system) in my 2016 F15, bought pre-coded by a ebay seller in Eastern Europe. I have e-sys errors for the NBT EVO and ZBE being uncoded, and my BimmerCode app no longer connects to the head unit.
6 lis 2021 · Bimmercode constantly shows connection error at 15% when reading the modules. I was able to code my 2014 5. 35i perfect fine multiple times before. But, after installing the Apple Carplay module that basically "piggybacks" on top of the NBT head unit, I'm not able to connect and code my car anymore.
For those still looking for Apple CarPlay in 2024… check out (https://bimmer-remote.com). Just had them code in Apple CarPlay and video in motion into the factory head unit for just under $100. Which is dirt cheap compared to some of the other companies out there charging $400+.
6 lut 2022 · Still, you can add Apple CarPlay to an older car with a third party retrofit, even with an older iDrive system like the BMW CIC; CarPlay MMI Prime from BimmerTech is compatible with vehicles...
16 mar 2020 · I finally brought my BMW Z4 into this decade and installed an aftermarket touchscreen Apple CarPlay/Android Auto unit! My Z4 came with a storage box and no screen, so it made a huge difference! Full DIY for those interested:
