8 gru 2009 · For 2 reasons: you can change the separator without removing the intake manifold. It's a pain, but do-able. And second being the difficulty level of the job of removing the manifold.

27 sty 2009 · I am having the cold weather oil separator replacement done on my 2002 330i. The shop looked up the kit components and it called for replacing the dipstick guide tube. The tube cost was $350.00.
The advice i've seen so far suggests that the intake manifold needs to be removed - it doesn't. Here's some simple instructions on how to do it. Whilst i didn't take any pics, i refer to the terminology on the parts catalogue, e.g. http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E9...oil_separator/. Preparation.
19 lut 2016 · A BMW E36 oil separator valve replacement is a very straightforward repair and can be easily performed by the home mechanic. Contrary to other repair articles, you do not need to remove the intake manifold on the BMW E36 engine to extract the oil separator valve from underneath it.
