The Mosselman Turbo Systems oil thermostat install is done in my F32. What a gorgeous piece of automotive upgrade, and I am really excited to have this in my car! The install is really easy and something I strongly suggest you consider for your tuned N55 or N54 motor.
29 mar 2013 · I have a 2003 BMW 325i. It started off as a simple coolant expansion tank replacement. After finally pulling off the expansion tank, i noticed that the oil cooler thermostat was cracked and tilted (probably caused the expansion tank failure in the first place - grrrrrr....)
2 cze 2008 · The oil cooler kit thermostat assembly would not work on this particular bike. Pressurized oil would leak back into the sump rather than following the correct path with the cooler kit installed. I had a couple of dealerships look at the engine oil filter housing cavity and the kit components.
8 mar 2019 · The oil cooler thermostat is mainly there to keep the oil cooler from prolonging engine warmup. An engine really shouldn't be ran hard unless it reaches 180degrees (160 is the bare minimum). They usually also have a backpressure bypass incase the cooler gets plugged.

1 sie 2023 · As the oil heats, the pin moves out of the housing and compresses the spring. The large diameter then closes (or opens) oil passages in the thermostat housing, allowing oil to flow down the lines and into the cooler radiator.
13 kwi 2009 · Since I had some problems with the coolant temp and coolant leak from the thermostat, I decided that it would be a good time to replace it. For a replacement unit, I used a spare themostat which I got 2 years ago from dealership.
