29 kwi 2021 · I'm looking to add an oil cooler to my Spitfire, and have run into a quandary. When you add the cooler do you add oil to your fill to compensate, or does it drain back into the engine causing an overfill?
These kits include mounting brackets, unions, thermostatic oil filter adaptor, spin-on oil filter adaptor where appropriate, with a choice of rubber or stainless steel braided hoses where appropriate.
10 lis 2019 · I’ve bought a mocol thermostatically controlled oil cooler for my spitfire 1500. now I know I probably don’t need one but let’s not go there. question is, does anyone have any pictures and advice as to how to fit it - pictures would be great as it comes with no instructions what so ever!
26 lut 2024 · Compete with new 13 Row Oil Cooler. Great quality kit made in the UK. This is different to the original optional factory installed coolers but is made for the Triumph Engine.
An oil cooler is just a miniature water radiator but made much more robustly to handle the higher pressures. I think oil coolers are very good and should be fitted. Basically when Triumph designed the Spit engine in the dark ages people didn't go bombing down the motorway at 90 Mph all day.
