The editorial staff in London is always happy to advise on submissions by post or telephone. The BMJ is published weekly and has a circulation of about 111500, of which 20000 copies are distributed outside Britain.

ICMJE have produced the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals, these requirements have been adopted by more than 800 journals – including BMJ Journals – and they encompass a wide range of editorial policies and advice on publication practice and ethics.
