Student counts shall be reported for the Fall 2021 upon execution of this agreement. “Base Student Fee” for the 2021-2022 Contract Year shall be based on the number of Enrolled Students at the School, as outlined in the table in Paragraph 13(a) herein.
The fee is based on the total amount of people expected to hear your music, with the exception of Special Event Licenses. A set fee will cover an entire event and reflects a per person charge. You make payments based on your estimation of attendance and/or self-reporting your attendance figures.
If your business uses music from radio or television and is over 3,750 gross square feet, then you do need a BMI license. Under U.S. Copyright Law, there are some exceptions for businesses that are under 3,750 gross square feet using tv and or radio; however, they must meet certain criteria.
