24 sie 2016 · There is an SAE spec that lists requirements for load ratings on wheels. The tests only allow certain types of failure after specified number of cycles (like 1 wheel stud, etc...). I would be surprised if the aftermarket wheel manufacturers put all of their different designs thru these tests.
Dealer offering Tire/Wheel warranty for $1700 (5 years no deductible) for an X5. Would this be prudent to go ahead and pay for? Thanks!
13 lip 2010 · For those of you that have, or have experience with, BMF wheels.... whats their quality like? Does it warrant the price tag? I recall asking a rep about the wheels once and think they mentioned 3 layers of powdercoating... with the top layer being a thick/clear coating for protection.
26 sie 2021 · I know BMW offers a wheel and tire warranty and wondered everyone's thoughts on purchasing this. So couple questions: What does it cover and not cover (such as does it cover accidentally curb rash, nail in tire, etc). Overall do you think it's worth it? Thanks! 12 kwi 2021 · No two wheel and tire warranties are identical. It's likely that they would require photos/documentation/receipts to either deny or accept your claim and reimburse you or pay for it directly no matter where you go.
27 gru 2022 · After 240k miles and 25 "car-years" on BMW's, the only wheel or tire loss I've had have been about a half-dozen punctures, and an old-fashioned rubber valve stem (before TPMS) failure. All but one of the punctures were repairable, and the unrepairable one was covered by Tire Rack's free two-year road hazard warranty.
