I currently have a Pwnagehammer, True Excalibur, Darklight Greatsword, Biome Blade, True Bloody Edge, and Axe of Purity. I'm currently using Daedalus Armor, but I also have Chlorophyte Armor if that's better.
Swords are the player's basic melee weapon. Broadswords are swung over the head when used, while shortswords are stabbed in front of the player. Some swords also release a projectile when swung, making them a good option when fighting at range.
Murasama (found in a lab chest on the right side of hell) + spam clicking or an autoclicker. Earth has enough lifesteal to facetank 80% of BR, just don't use it against Polterghast or Moon Lord as they block lifesteal. The damage is pretty great too.
