9 gru 2012 · I wonder how long it takes for the ethanol fuels to go through regular, high quality fuel hose, like the BMW stuff? Had the beemer stuff on my last ride and after a couple years took a piece off and cut it open and compared that to a scrap piece of the same hose that was never used.
19 cze 2017 · Unless things have changed in the last two years, my understanding is that there is no such thing as Ethanol 'proof'. Ethanol resistant - yes but you still need to check them and replace on a regular basis.

1 lut 2023 · For flexible hose, look at Gates Barricade. They make fuel line hose suitable for carbs and EFI and it was designed to work with alcohol fuels. For hardline, stainless steel is still the best option.
9 sie 2009 · I just replaced all my lines from tank to and including the carbs and got my hose at NAPA I used 5/16 Weatherhead # H10105 350 psi fuel hose. They looked it up in their book and it said it was alcohol and oil resistant. $2.90 a foot.
28 wrz 2006 · I have had a factor tell me the R6 hose they sell is fine with modern fuels. however, it just isn't! R9 and some others are the ones you need as they are ethanol resistant. R6 isn't, and really shouldn't be sold at all.
21 sty 2017 · Replace main fuel line from tank to engine with EPA Approved fuel line and primer bulb. I'd recommend only the OEM Mercury/Quicksilver fuel line & bulb here... and make sure it's the gray line with BLUE PRINT (not red print).
