The purpose of this guide is to aid in the understanding of what the BLM claims data is useful for, and how to use the data to assist in your research. Note: The BLM (Bureau of Land Management) LR2000 was renamed the Mineral & Land Records System (MLRS) in early 2021.
Go to www.blm.gov. Click on Services – in dropdown menu select “Land Records”. Scroll down to “LR2000” – click on the link “Click here to review LR2000”. In left column click on Run Reports. Under Public Case Recordation Reports choose Public CR Serial Register Page.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has developed the Mineral & Land Records System (MLRS) to replace: Legacy Rehost 2000 (LR2000) case management system (R1-R3 - last deployed June 2023) Alaska Land Information System (ALIS) (R4 deployed 10-15-2024)
The LR2000 system provides a searchable database for public reports concerning BLM’s land and mineral use authorizations and unpatented mining claims within the United States, excluding Alaska and Hawaii.
If you are searching for Mining Claims information from the BLM you will need to use the LR2000 (Legacy Rehost 2000) reporting system.
