27 lis 2019 · I would advise you to consider using Hodgdon's pistol powders for two reasons: 1. They make the widest variety of powders for 9mm pistol rounds (Winchester, IMR, and Hodgdon powders) 2. Their website database if very thorough and provides a lot of loads for any given bullet.
31 maj 2016 · Drop your loaded round into the chamber (barrel removed from gun) and it should go "PLUNK" - that means it fully chambered, and you cannot nudge it another 1,000th of an inch - it is FULLY chambered.
18 gru 2010 · I have found that Power Pistol is the perfect powder for medium to hot 9mm loads with 115, 124 and 147 grain jacketed bullets. With the faster powders like AA#2 very small changes in powder weight translate into big pressure changes.
4 gru 2013 · Hornady starts at 4.3gr and maxes at 5.7gr with their 124gr bullets. Alliant's data is Speer's data. I've worked up loads with 124gr plated round noses to Speer's max.
11 mar 2013 · Expect to find some loads that might not quite kick the action and go up from there...load 5 cartridges at a time until you find a reliable load that will kick the empties 4-5 feet from the pistol. Alliant Powder Co (makes Unique & Bulleye) has a web site where you can look up recommended loads with their powders.
