Once you reach level 60 as a Mercenary, you will be able to job change into a Blade. Blades unlike Mercenaries, can dual wield weapons (Axes/Swords) and they have a wide variety of new abilities that will aid you in your journey. Blades are the perfect example of a threat on the battlefield.
Build for AoE Blade. Hi everyone! I was thinking of having a blade as my first character once the game launches officially. I would like to do AoE in case 1vs1 gets a bit boring and as you get a re stat roll at level 60 I was thinking of doing a 1vs1 build until level 60 or 65 till you get your first AoE attack and then restat for this.

I don't recommend blade for a first char without a lot of funding. AoE blade was mentioned below, that is a cheaper type of blade than 1vs1, though still needs some funding. Axes get more from str than swords as also remarked upon before.
