With new details coming out in recent years, especially from ESO with regards to Shadowfen and the planned Murkmire and Thornmarsh DLCs, I thought it was time someone remade a map of my favourite province, Black Marsh, while trying to stay as close as I can to official sources.
Massive rootworms that burrowed and rode along the roots of the trees all throughout Black Marsh. They have breathing holes and that's how the argonian's hitch a ride. They climb in through the breathing holes into the stomach of the worm.
A map of Black Marsh. Black Marsh, also known as Argonia, [1] is one of the nine provinces of Tamriel. It is the home of the Argonians, the reptilian natives of this swampland rainforest. The province is filled with "great inland waterways and impenetrable swamps." [2] .
Taking a look at this map here, from the imperial library, the center of Black Marsh is widely detailed with rivers, islands, and peninsulas, and of course, Helstrom lies in the middle. But that begs my question, how reliable are these maps that try to depict the interior of Black Marsh.
Black Marsh is one of the nine provinces you can visit in Arena and the starting location for Argonian characters. It is a swampy region, situated in the southeast corner of Tamriel. It borders Morrowind to the north and the Imperial Province to the northwest.
A number of forgotten Argonian tribes constructed countless elaborate stone structures across Black Marsh, ranging from solitary statues and Wayshrines to sprawling stepped pyramids known as xanmeers.
