I absolutely loved it. The shots and the soundtrack pop in my mind from time to time. Nicole Kidman gives one of her best performances, if not her single best, and that close-up at the opera is brilliant. I think it somehow influenced Celine Sciamma for a similar shot of Portrait of a Lady on Fire.
