13 paź 2008 · A well made Birch kit is actually quieter than a well made Maple kit. Maple tends to speak equally across a very wide frequency spectrum. This is why it works so well for drums. Maple drums tend to have a lot of "character" to their sound and in that sense, tend to have a little more "presence".
