23 mar 2024 · Open your BIOS in UEFITool and search for 4G Decod (NOT Decode) with Unicode enabled. If it doesn't find anything, try searching for Above 4G or MMIO . It can also be called 64-Bit Resource Allocation or similar.
4 wrz 2024 · When I enable the "Above 4GB MMIO BIOS Assignment" setting in the BIOS, my system fails to boot into Windows. Specifically, after enabling this option: Setup Utility → Advanced → System Agent (SA) Configuration → Above 4GB MMIO BIOS Assignment.
9 sie 2017 · So, the "Above 4GB decoding" means that the BIOS PCI enumeration is "allowed" to assign PCI BARs memory ranges above 4GB (32-bit max). It may even do that for small PCI BARs, as long as they report themselves as 64-bit.
24 paź 2022 · Similar to your posted experience, “Above 4G Decoding” appeared in the bios strings but I saw no hidden options to enable when using either UEFITool/IRFExtractor or amibcp 4.55.0070. In a last-ditch effort, I figured I’d try the DSDT Patching [1].
