21 gru 2020 · Mid 1970s Sears Free Spirit - iRide - Used Bicycles Restoration and Repair. Becky came into the shop on a whim. She noticed some of our old bicycles out front and was curious as to what we might have inside. She immediately fell in love with our dogs! Mary showed her some of the restorations that we had in progress and many of our vintage bicycles.
8 lis 2021 · Restoring a 1965 Sears Puch 3 Speed. Posted on November 7, 2021. Today was the perfect day to finish the restoration of this 1965 Sears/Puch 3 speed. It was cold, rainy, windy, and the streets were strewn with wet leaves.
31 lip 2021 · The original saddle shipped had broken seat rails, and of course I planned to replace the saddle anyway. This bike has a Sturmey Archer 3 speed AW hub, as opposed to the Puch/Steyr licensed copy found on other models. You can barely see the “65” date code on the hub in the above photo.

My boss wants to restore this bicycle, intended as a gift. I'm tasked with helping her identify it so she can find someone to fix the lights. The closest match I've found is a Sears Cruiser, possibly from the 50s-60s, but the seat doesn't match any photos I've seen.
8 kwi 2013 · Have you tried changing the tension on the shifting cable? There's usually a tension adjuster on the outside of the hub. It's unlikely to hurt, and it's easy to do. I'd tighten a little at a time until all the gears work well. If that doesn't do it, you may need to have the hub looked at.
