Bible Readings for Wedding Ceremonies. The following passages have been suggested for use in the Church of Ireland Marriage Service. These are only recommendations, and therefore other passages from the Bible may be chosen if appropriate to a wedding ceremony. There should be at least one reading, although more are permissible.
