25 sty 2017 · Most important thing you’ll ever do in your life is get God right: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You cannot come to God unless you know Him. Taking His name in a vain way is to ignore what is true about Him, or to declare things about Him that are not true of Him.
John begins the gospel – chapter 1, verse 11 – by saying, “He came unto His own and His own received Him not.” We have clear indication at the very beginning of the story that they were not going to receive Him. They rejected Jesus – the nation of Israel did – but not in a benign way, not in a sort of moderate way.
