Best choice is an item you can get related to a Hag (you can Google for spoilers if you want). If you need survivability don’t be afraid to grab Medium Armor Proficiency off the feat Moderately Armored, and if you want that then make sure your Dex is 13 so you can raise it with the feat (and save the points from a higher Dex to put elsewhere).

Warlock has several good builds, multiclassing as paladin Roleplaying as a godless oath of vengeance is thematically accurate for wyll. Hell even you could juste respec him as a full ranger or whole other class and say that he gets his power from his patron .
