My immediate recommendation for games for younger kids is Kirby Adventure Wii (called Kirby Return To Dreamland in the US). It's a great game for kids, it supports up to 4 players at the same time, has bright bold colourful graphics and uses the Wii Remote to control your character.
The easiest 'real' gaming experience I've found on the Wii to teach kids to play, is Kirby Adventure Wii (called Kirby Return To Dreamland in the US). The game is at the lower-end of skill-level, has big, bold, colourful visuals and offers a superb local multi-player experience that parents can share with their kids as they learn to play.
