I ended up getting a flat weave washable from hook & loom (https://hookandloom.com) and added a good non slip low profile rug pad - let me know if you want me to share that too - it’s from overstock and really keeps rugs in place. I haven’t had to machine wash it yet, just spot treated it and that went very well.
After countless hours researching washable rugs (my husband thinks I'm crazy) I decided to try tumble rugs. They have limited styles in my opinion, but picked one finally. Even though there was some kinda iffy reviews, I felt ruggable had worse PLUS more expensive.
I want to buy a new area rug (8x10), and Ruggable is probably the only one offering machine-washable rugs right now. We are okay with flat rugs, because we have cats, and one of them is epileptic with occasional seizures (during which he couldn't control his bladder and pee wherever he falls down).
