For me, I like my Merrill’s river shoes that are designed to get wet but drain well, which are actually decent for hiking shoes in general. And I wear SmartWool socks, which keep your feet relatively comfortable, even when wet, and minimize blister potential.
2 kwi 2014 · Highly recommend Orderville Canyon up to the "turnaround" at Veiled Falls, as well. You want supportive footwear in the Narrows, as you will be walking on submerged rocks of various shapes and sizes most of the time. The standard rental, the 5.10 Canyoneer, is ideal.
