In my option the best of all times is Alter A.I.L.A. Genesis, far above any other RPGMaker game I can think of (assuming we exclude games made with other RPG creation engines likes OHRRPGCE).
The Wolf RPG Editor exists and is free, and the open source game engine Godot can create JRPGs. Maybe it's enough for you to have reassurance that free options are available if you ever become development-curious, even if they're a bit less newbie friendly than RPG Maker.
Wolfrpg & Gdevelop are great alternatives to the RPG Maker family of game development suites. Free to use, and you’re free to sell. Neither require coding at all to make games, but Gdevelop is built to allow you to use JavaScript within its events structure to let you add functionality through your own code, if you decide to.
25 maj 2023 · RPG Maker has helped indie developers to create some fantastic 16-bit style games over the years, many of which still hold up surprisingly well today.
So, I am only recently realizing how amazing a tool RPG Maker can be for creating games. In particular, after learning of a certain game called "The Room". Can anybody recommend other good titles that were made using RPG Maker?
4 gru 2022 · #1. I found this cool video review of several RPG maker games. A few are apparently quite well known and some of these are also a free download. The video covers Yume Nikki (which is apparently rather famous), Hylics, Lawmage Academy (still in development), Toilet in Wonderland (um, yeah, but better than it sounds?)
