For Sony PlayStation 3, there’s sort of multiple ways. A lot of times they come as .ISO files, which is great. But some games come as a folder, and inside is a PS3_GAME and PS3_DISC.SFB file. You can add that folder to RPCS3 and it’ll detect it as a game.
First of all, one game one file (or if you use fat32 more files), but much much lower quantity of files. Transfer speeds to internal hdd or to external hdd are much much faster. You can play isos from NTFS drive.
To play them you'll need an emulator from the Emulation Lair. All downloads are in .7z format and can be opened with the free tool 7-Zip. Disc and cover scans are provided by GameTDB. The PlayStation 3 Vault contains every known PlayStation 3 game in the world.
What is the safest, most trusted website for ps3 ISO's? I have heard some scary shit about dangerous homebrew on ps3. Vimm's Lair is pretty good, only downside is you're limited to one at a time. Literally every single other website I've tried has been dogshit. I guess RomsForever is 4/10.

Purchasing legitimate game copies, through the PlayStation Store or through acquiring game discs, and using those copies with RPCS3 is the best way to ensure you will have a clean copy that will work with the emulator.
